Wrapped XRP launches on Solana; more chains planned

The Block reports that wrapped XRP's Solana launch follows a December commitment from custodian Hex Trust that wXRP would become available across Solana, Optimism, Ethereum, and HyperEVM. Today marks the first chain going live; The Block expects the Ethereum deployment to land in the next 4–6 weeks based on Hex Trust's audit schedule. The goal is to give XRP holders DeFi optionality without requiring them to exit the asset. Market makers including Wintermute and GSR have reportedly agreed to seed initial wXRP liquidity on Jupiter and Orca.
